The village sits between two practical directions of the route.

According to the official section layout, Zygovisti sits between Section 2 from Dimitsana and Section 3 towards Elati, so it works both as an arrival point and as a starting point within the wider crossing.

Section 2: Dimitsana → Zygovisti

This section climbs from the Lousios basin towards the fir forest edge and reaches Zygovisti through a long, more open route. In the official description, the village is also identified as the supply point for this stretch.

  • Useful if you are finishing the section from Dimitsana
  • A good moment for coffee, food or a break in the square
  • See the official section

Section 3: Zygovisti → Elati

From Zygovisti, the trail continues across western Menalon, passing springs, chapels, older paths and mountain terrain on the way to Elati. This makes the village a natural starting point for the next leg of the walk.

  • Useful if you start from Zygovisti towards Elati
  • Works well for breakfast before departure or food after returning
